In a typical Obour style, full of calmness and restraint in the midst of castigation – the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana has responded to the recent diatribe of Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale.
“There’s no cause of alarm,” he rebuffed the backlash to MzGee of Hitz FM ‘Entertainment News’, as monitored by www.entertainmentgh.com.
“Shatta Wale and I are friends and we know how he does his things,” he downplayed the recent tweets of the dancehall act.
In responding to the incessant talk of he not being competent, he repudiated such assertion; “The musicians will be the right persons to answer. I stood for re-election, a process where I got over 70% of the votes.”
In the last couple of days, Obour has come under a wave of grave criticism from the camp of Shatta Wale, who took to twitter to lash out at him, accusing him of incompetence and not doing anything for musicians.
Other musicians like Eazzy have also joined the bandwagon of artists chiding Obour for his stewardship thus far.
However, Obour claims his relationship with the young generation of Ghanaian artists is still solid.
“I am friends with the likes of Gasmilla, Sarkodie and many others,” he stated.
