No Grammy awards nomination for Blakk Rasta

Ghanaian Reggae artiste and Radio Host, Blakk Rasta might have to wait for another time to achieve his dream of winning a Grammy award.

Early this month, he told Graphic Showbiz newspaper, winning a Grammy award this year was a done deal. In his words, “there is no turning back, I know that we are going to get nominated and we will go ahead to win. Kuchoko is the most daring Reggae album in the past 20 years, it is original and authentic.”

Rasta was missing in the ‘Best Reggae Album‘ category when the the Recording Academy announced nominations for the 2018 Grammy Awards on Thursday, November 28.

His album ‘Kuchoko’ was distributed globally by VP Records

‘Chronology‘ by Chronixx, ‘Lost In Paradise’ by Common Kings, ‘Wash House Ting’ by J Boog, ‘Stony Hill’ by Damian Marley and ‘Avrakedabra‘ by Morgan Heritage are competing for the ultimate.
