Nkwanta DCE calls for festival for the area

Nkwanta, July 8, GNA-Mr. Joseph Denteh, Nkwanta District Chief Executive (DCE) has called for the institution of a festival in the Nkwanta district during which the different ethnic groups in the area would come together on one platform to display their different cultures. Mr Denteh, who was addressing senior citizens at a luncheon on Republic Day said the festival would increase cooperation among the people and quicken the development of the area. Mr Denteh challenged the Senior Citizens to deliberate on the issue and come out with a day convenient to the different traditional groupings.

Contributions during the luncheon were mainly on how to improve access to education in the area and also ensure peace in the district. Retired educationists, military and police officers, civil servants, chiefs, opinion leaders, the clergy and heads of departments attended the luncheon.
