Nigeria's Omawunmi marks birthday with fierce new photo

Nigerian singer Omawunmi is a year older today April 13, 2016 and in celebration of her day, the songwriter shared a gorgeous new photo.

With words of thanksgiving and a heart of praise she shared a fierce photo on her Instagram page.

She wrote, "I see through it all, I recognize God's infiniteness, His mercies are New every morning. I am New! Happy Birthday to me."

The Glo ambassador was born April 13, 1982 of Itsekiri ethnicity and got married to her heartthrob, Tosin Yussuf in 2014.

The mother of two is a brand ambassador for Globacom, Konga.com, and Malta Guinness.

She gained attention as the 2007 runner-up on West African Idols, a reality TV show part of the Idols franchise.

Her sophomore album, "The Lasso of Truth", was reported to be a commercial success in Nigeria.
