The Hiplife music industry has witnessed lot of artistes over the years.
Some of them are able to go beyond the borders of Ghana, Some too fades off like slide-shows, some fall along the road, inferiority complex too has ended the journey for most of them, but others have refused to be down no matter whatever comes their way.
One such personality, who has survived in this competitive business, is Rashid Nhyiraba Joseph.
Despite claims that hiplife music is not flying in the music market, obstinate young guys like Rashid Nhyiraba Joseph, a.k.a Nhyiraba Kojo, “ The Hiprash Designer” still possess the hope that hiplife will survive and he shows this by his newly outworked single titled “ E DEY BE”.
Nhyiraba Kojo's single, 'E Dey B', features Reggie Zippy and De Boy, his label mate on Hiprash Productions and is a mammoth hit.
Nhyiraba Kojo is a mixture of creativity and sheer talent that nothing can stop.
The masterpiece opens with “E DEY BE”, which goes in a mid-tempo vein and has good instrumentation. Nhyiraba Kojo’s style is very captivating on this track and it is bound to get the attention of even passive listeners. It is well programmed and has very nice lyrics.
“Me Nnye Den Ni” is another fine song on the album which has the artiste voicing out his disgust for his partner’s intolerable deeds. This track has a danceable rhythm which goes in the highlife vein and the lyrics offer great lessons to guys who are not faithful to their partners.
Nhyiraba Kojo asks his partner what she thinks he will do if she happens to leave him lonely, simply because she is all that he has and there is nothing comparable to her in his life. And the artiste asks for the forgiveness of his partner since two wrongs don’t make a right.
“Me Nnye Den Ni” track is an Akan word that means “What Should I Do?”
This track is unique in a sense that, it has humorous lyrics and is bound to get a listener dancing and laughing at the same time. The artiste sings about the exact time he would be meeting his lover for their romantic bouts. It is a nice song with good instrumentation.
“E DEY BE”, which happens to have enjoyed massive airplay in the country and yet to become a hit if given the necessary publicity and proper distribution. This song, which talks about the beautiful features of the artiste’s lover that makes him love her more, proves that Rashid Nhyiraba Joseph is a promising star about to take hiplife music to another level.
Nhyiraba Kojo, privately known as Rashid Ibrahim Nhyiraba Kojo Joseph, hails from Apam/Effiakuma No.9, at Takoradi in the Central Region of Ghana.
Nhyiraba Kojo used to sing along with Castro D'Destroyer and was known formally as 'Odonbofour'.
His current single which is making waves on radio and on the internet is “ E DEY BE” which simply expresses how true and genuine LOVE feels like.
If you happened to be a very good listener of lyrics like Rofa Nana Kissi of RKNY Media, you will get to love the whole album and the “E DEY BE” track.
Nhyiraba KOJO asks how will one feels if you get to know your partner's love for you is just to make gains rather than a true love and the mixture of his highly written words put together and the chorus tells anyone who listen to the music the maturity of Nhyiraba Kojo.
The myriad of problems confronting the music industry such as piracy, bluetooth, payola, disunity and verbal conflicts which is usually known as Beef among rappers especially and so on may have discouraged most of our young up and coming musicians from following their dreams to opt for other careers until Nhyiraba Kojo came into contact with his role model and his pastor, Bishop Daniel Obinim of International God's Way Church.

In one of the Bishop's preaching which was lately telecast on metro t.v was message that was directed to him when the Bishop preached about ‘Faith and Strong-will Power’. That message sounded as if he is talking to me. Said Nhyiraba Kojo.
I wanted to give up the music dream and pursue other field but my Bishop motivated me and inspired me with life stories of certain personalities in the Bible like Abram who through faith and ungiven up strength later became Abraham, Jacob too also refused to easily give up a fight with God's angel until he was also blessed from Jacob to Israel. All these he made me known to never give whatever talent I have because of what I hear, see and have been told and to continue with dream to the attainment of my aim.
When I was at the studio recording, I called Bishop on phone and he prayed with me and later when I was asked to enter the Booth to start the recording,
I felt God's presence in-there with me even though I was not recording a gospel song. My recording and mastering came out uniquely and as good more than I expected and it was a nice experience and it was as if I featured my Bishop on that particular track. I dedicate my single track to Bishop OBINIM wherever he may be now simply because his advice, inpirational words to me has made it happen. I thank God for his life and the life of his dear family.
Nhyiraba KOJO is not just a musician who will go to studio to record a song because he is rich to do so, but a very good song-writer
Who has written songs for many of our stars we have in the Hiplife game today. He is also a fashion designer and a socially accepted business man.
Nhyiraba KOJO's single is produced by Hiprash Music Productions and distributed nationwide by RKNYmedia, Big Ben, Excel Business Systems and all other leading music shops across the country.
