New scheme for underground musicians, Think Ghana Music (TGM) Awards open for nominations

TGM Awards (Think Ghana Music Awards) is an annual online “Undergee” awards founded on 10th August, 2013 by David Mawuli of Think Ghana Entertainment Media.

The TGM Awards was founded to reward, motivate, unearth and encourage the young underground up-coming and influential established musicians on the African continent. It is the first ever underground acts awards in Ghana.

Since it is believed that every young individual is a future leader, we also believe that they are going to replace our top artistes on the bloc today.

Think Ghana Entertainment Media want to award the young artiste in the music industry to make them feel more important and continue the great work they’ve started.

The awards are slated December 31st every year, whose maiden edition is scheduled on 31st December, 2013.

Voting started on the 20th November, 2013. It is made up of 10 categories. They are:

Overall Undergee Artiste Of The Year

Best Rapper Of The Year

Dancehall/Reggae Artiste Of The Year

Best Male Vocalist Of The Year

Best Female Vocalist Of The Year

Undergee Song Of The Year

Most Influential Act Of The Year (Est)

Most Popular Undergee Of The Year

Discovery Of The Year (Est)

Youngest Artiste Of The Year

All winners will take a plaque except the “Overall Undergee Artiste of the Year” who will get a cash prize, signed and managed by Think Ghana Entertainment Media for one full year with TV and Radio performances assurance including collaborations.
