Nathaniel Bassey comments on absence of Pastor Chris' ex-wife at daughter's wedding

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s daughter, Sharon Carissa, and her heartthrob Phillip Frimpong were joined in holy matrimony by the renowned minister, Benny Hinn, at a ceremony held at the LoveWorld Arena, Lekki Church, in Lagos.

The ceremony drew both the high-profile and common people, and it was the top trending conversation on social media. While many people were wowed by the photos, some noticed the staggering absence of the bride’s mother, Pastor Anita, who had been embroiled in a bitter divorce with the powerful minister.

In 2016, news surfaced that Pastor Anita had remarried and changed her name, and a quick check of her website indicated that she was now “Anita Ebhodaghe Schafer.” Plus, there were outpourings of congratulatory messages from her readers, hinting that she had just gotten married.

Fast-forward to 2018 and her daughter with Pastor Chris tied the knot with Frimpong in her absence, and everyone is talking about it.

Reacting to the development, renowned gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, said he wishes for the family to heal, however, he shared concerns about people who are asking the sensitive questions.

“While I noticed [Pastor Anita’s absence], I took some time in my hotel room here praying that God restored that marriage(sic),” he said, before asking folks are truly concerned about the family or simply out to fish for gossip.
