Nasara : I Can’t Do Intimate Things Such As Kissing

Former Ghana’s Most Beautiful queen, Nasara Miriam Abdul Rauf, has revealed that she would not expose her succulent buttocks or any part of her body to the TV cameras in the name of making movies.

Her reason is that “it would not speak well of my image as ex-Ghana Most Beautiful queen. Ghana’s Most Beautiful is my claim to fame and I must protect that image at all cost. “My pageant has a lot to do with society and what they think about me. After talking on stage about manners and how to present ourselves as queens and I’m being seen on the screens stripping and kissing, you can imagine what society will say about me,” she told News-One in an exclusive interview.

Nasara made her debut appearance in the movie industry with a role in the Frank Rajah-directed movie, ‘Pool Party’, starring alongside popular actors such as Majid, Michel, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Ekow Blankson, Martha Ankomah and Eddie Nartey, among others.

She said it was a dream come true and explained that she got the role via the efforts of her auntie, Kalsume Sinare. Currently, she has received two scripts for her next productions. “Jackie was impressed with my delivery in ‘Pool party’ and on the day of my shoot, a number of other actresses were impressed with my performance because they said it was my first time so it was ok. I spoke to the director, Frank Rajah, who said I did marvelously well. Apart from them I have some few friends who were happy with my role. It is good for starters like me,” she said about her performance in the movie.

According to Nasara, the role was not very challenging because it depicted a real life experience, and also because she had acquired some acing skills during Ghana’s Most Beautiful. She said she hoped to stay in the industry for a long time, adding that she was ready for any role.“But there are some roles I may probably not like to play. I can’t do intimate things such as kissing, taking off my clothes and things that society will not expect from me as Ghana’s Most Beautiful.

I personally won’t kiss. We have ways of kissing and I will probably not do the real kind of kissing thing,” she noted, emphasizing that she would ignore scripts with such roles. Apart from that, she said “anything goes”.
