Nana Ama Mc-Brown Says To Critics; Love Me Love My Dog

Versatile Ghanaian Female actress, Nana Ama McBrown has lashed out at critics who downplay her acts; especially in local movies, saying “don’t condemn my job, because you don’t put food on my table”.

According to her, being able to speak different languages in movies only shows how good and versatile an actor is.

“When I speak in Twi, don’t you hear me? Why do you watch Indian movies, do they speak English? You love me, that is why you watch me. So just love me, and love my dog”, Nana Ama had told Xfm 95.1 in an exclusive interview.

She added, ‘you know me, I speak good English, and it isn’t as if I can’t act in English movies?”

The Kumasi based movie actress, opined that everybody has talent and can do any other thing apart from what they have been recognized for, adding further, “if I should tell you I can sing better than those already in the singing industry, would you believe it?”

Nana McBrown, who recently participated in a celebrity football match organized by the Juliet Ibrahim Foundation (JIF) at the El-Wak sports stadium for charity, also shared her thoughts on foundations.

She said, “I believe in charity also, and I have one as well, I came to support my sister, because it’s a very good decision she took, every little work, and I would not hesitate to be part of it’.

Speaking on her foundation (McBrown foundation) she said, “we cut across, we are not like cancer, this or that”.

‘I got kids in orphanages which I take care of and the physically challenged too”.

Nana Ama advised Ghanaians about the need to maintain peace in the upcoming elections saying “Ghana is all that we have, and that we wouldn’t want to be like the other countries we are surrounded with. We are not delighted that these things are happening, but it should be a lesson to us”.
