The event which was largely patronised saw a great number of dignitries, fashion enthusiasts and advocates for made in Ghana products in attendance.
Some notable political and media personalities including President Nana Addo, Gifty Anti, Alan Kyeremanteng, Okyeame Kwame, Woyome Kobla Mensah Wisdom, Prof. George Hagan and Maame Afua (Sankofa) were awarded for their immerse contribute towards the promotion of African prints and indigenous fashion.
Wear Ghana Festival Fashion show had top Ghanaian fashion designers namely Abrantie, Lokitaess, Lyran Collections, Wear Ghana among others participating in the maiden edition. Budding fashion designers from Accra Technical University, Radford University, Bluecrest University, Abby's Creation and Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design also used the platform to showcase their creativity.
Barbara Oteng Gyasi, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in her speech recounted her days with GTP and a legal advisor and also urged the gathering to patronise made in Ghana products. She called on all and sundry to support the Ministry in its Eat Ghana, Feel Ghana and See Ghana campaign.
Rev. Stephen Badu, Marketing Director, GTP expressed his gratitude to all who contributed the success of the show. He mentioned that the Wear Ghana Festival Fashion show has come to stay. Rev. Stephen however called on government and all key stakeholders to intensify their support for the tourism and creative arts sector to ensure its success.
The night was packed with brilliant display of fashion talents, creativity, music and art. The were performances by Cina Soul, Worlasi and Okyeame Kwame.
