Naa Okailey Shooter goes to alma mater

The reigning Miss World Africa, and second runner-up, Miss World 2013, Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter, has interacted with students and teachers of the Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School in the Central Region.

Miss Shooter, an old student of the school was a special guest at the school’s 2013 SRC Week Celebration, which rounded off last Saturday, with a lecture on making the right tertiary education choices.

Together with two other resource persons, Miss Shooter tasked the students to make carefully thought out decisions in choosing which schools and courses they would like to take on at the tertiary level, as that would greatly influence their career choices in future.

“Making the right choice at this stage of your life is very important so if you are having problems, pray to God for guidance and direction and thereafter you can seek advice from older people who have been there before and they will serve as guide for you”, she said.

She advised the students that long before they enter senior high school, they should have an idea of what they want to be in future as that will help them to make informed choices.

“What you would go on to achieve in life”, she told them, “will also greatly shape your future; so it is important you make the right choice”, she noted.

The choices should to some extent be made taking into consideration your passion, and those things you do without hustle. “Always remember to listen, learn and stay focused”.

This year's SRC Week celebration was also attended by some selected schools in and around the Central Region including Adisadel College, St. Augustine’s College and Holy Child.
