Naa Joe Quits FBS

Its heartbreaking and disheartening to hear that a group of artistes, who came together to release a musical album that put smiles on the faces of their teaming fans had spilt.

It?s heart-rending because once that happens, it takes away the favour and taste that are associated with songs they made together.

Musical groups such as Sibo Brothers, S-Brothers, Lumba Brothers and mostly recently Akyeame, Nananom and Buk Bak just to mention few are some of the flowering musical groups, which until their spilt were doing impressively well.

The latest of such groups to have experienced a defective crack is the Nima based FBS groups, which about two years ago turned the local musical landscape upside down with the release of their debut album, Oluman Bogey.

One of the three artistes who make up the group, Naa Joe, has said goodbye to his colleagues and left a huge gap in the group.

This is why the artiste was missing in action on the newest album the group churned on to the local music industry hoping to make the same impact as their first release.

It is safe to say that apart from the Lumba Brothers, which has Daddy Lumba (one of the celebrated artistes in the country) and Nana Acheampong, aka Lover Boy (whose ?Anka Ebeye Den? sold an amazing over one million copies) and perhaps Sidney of ?Scenti No? fame, none of the members of the groups afore-mentioned has chalked any success.

It is abundantly clear therefore with the story of Buk Bak presently having the only surviving of its artistes, Bright gasping for musical breadth to keep his head above water, fresh on our minds, when artistes team up and later split, they find it difficult to survive.

Meanwhile, the remaining members of FBS have released a new album, which would soon be launched onto the local music market.
