NDC members don't go to church, that is why they lost 2017 election - DKB

Controversial Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kwabena Bonney, better known by his stage name DKB has revealed that the historic loss of the NDC in the 2016 General Elections was due to the viral "Onaapo" song.

The Onaapo song was composed by Ghanaian gospel musicians, Dee Aja and Nacee for the National Democratic Congress as a campaign song.

Speaking on the Accra-based television network, Atinka TV, DKB made that assertion that the NDC shouldn't have chosen "John 3:16" as their "battle cry".

"John 3:16" was repeated consistently throughout the "Onaapo" song and was used by NDC stalwarts on various occasion during the electioneering.

However, DKB believes the usage of the particular verse was a bad sign for the party and John Mahama.

John 3:16 reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".

DKB said the NDC should have used John 10:30, which reads "I and my Father are One", and that would have won them the elections.

DKB asserted that members of the NDC do not attend to church and take time to read their Bible and thus don't know how to understand Bible verses.
