NCCE Director suggests rescheduling of some GTV programmes

Techiman (B/A), Feb. 7, GNA - Mr. Pierre Kwabena Ankomah, Techiman Municipal Director of the National Commission of Civic Education (NCCE) has called on the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to review the timing of some of its television programmmes to be able to enable them make the desired impact.

Mr. Ankomah said this when he was interacting with Alhaji Ibrahim Abass, Brong-Ahafo Regional Coordinator of Nasara club and Assembly Members of Konimase electoral area.

He noted that the best approach for news dissemination was to find out the most appropriate time when the target group would find it convenient.

Mr. Ankomah expressed doubts that the Akan segment of the breakfast show programme on Mondays was having the right impact since drivers who were the target group could not be at home to watch it at the scheduled time.

He urged GTV to conduct some research to find out the most convenient times for such important educative programmes.
