As expected, lots of stakeholders and players of the music industry continue to voice their frustration after the full list of the VGMA nominees were released.

The latest person to share his opinion on the subject is Reggae and Dancehall artiste Epixode of Avatar fame.

According to him, he doesn’t understand why MzVee should gain nomination in the ‘Best Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ category ahead of Black Prophet, Rocky Dawuni, Black Messiah, questioning the criteria used to arrive at the final nominations.

Obviously peeved at the situation, Epixode wondered if Mzvee earned that slot because of her youtube views. According to Epixode, Richie Mensah, boss of Lynx Entertainment replied a critic with the views of the songstress’ song on Youtube when the person also questioned MzVee’s nomination for the Dancehall category.

In his view the likes of Black Prophet, Rocky Dawuni, Black Messiah and many other Reggae and Dancehall musicians who are raising the flag of Ghana outside should have been considered and not MzVee.

MzVee will battle it out with Ebony, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy in ‘Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ category come the D-Day (April 14 at the Accra International Conference Center).
