Following weeks of trending on social media, comic actor and Dr Likee’s team member, Opoku Bilson, has opened up about his family’s emotional reaction to his first trip to the United Kingdom.
In an interview with Zionfelix monitored by GhanaWeb on June 2, 2026, Opoku Bilson revealed that his mother broke down in tears after learning he had successfully arrived in London.
According to the comic actor, he once recorded a video in which he asked his mother to pray for him, assuring her that one day he would have a remarkable story to tell about it.

He explained that after the old video resurfaced online following his appearance at Dr Likee’s O2 Indigo show in the UK, his mother became emotional during a video call with him.
“My parents are proud of me. They are very happy. When my mother watched the video, she cried. There was a viral video of me carrying goods on my back, and another one where my mother was praying for me.
“I remember that four years ago, on my birthday, I went to her and asked her to pray for me. I even told her that one day I would have a story to tell about that video. By God’s grace, that dream has come true. So when she called me after watching it, she was crying,” he said.

Opoku Bilson also dismissed claims that his colleague, Kyekyeku, has been sidelined by Dr Likee following his rise within the team.
“That is not true. We are all working together. In fact, we recently worked with Kyekyeku,” he added.
