When it comes to the Ghanaian comedy scene, Lekzy Decomic is widely recognized as one of its success stories.
During an appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz, he shared the story of how he broke into the mainstream, and how Nana Aba Anamoah played a crucial role in that journey.
Lekzy explained that in the early days of his career, he and his colleague, OB Amponsah, hosted a popular radio show.

He said, while listeners loved the content, very few knew the faces behind the voices.
"We decided to air it on TV but it was difficult because a lot of channels wouldn't take it and those who would, had a long bureaucracy,” he added.
However, according to him, everything changed after a visit to Nana Aba Anamoah’s office.
“One day we paid Nana Aba a visit in the office and told her about it, right there and then she called producers and necessary people and by the following week we were on TV. The first time OB Amponsah and I had our comedy aired on TV, which propelled our careers to where they are today, was all thanks to Nana Aba Anamoah,” he stated.

As a token of appreciation, he revealed that he’s offering Nana Aba a golden table, valued at GH¢ 15,000, for free at his next comedy show.
