Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur, Kwaku Tutu, popularly known as Kwaku T has said one of the lessons he learnt from the fire that almost ended his life is gratitude.

In an exclusive interview with Ghanaweb.com’s People and Places, the rapper said he has no regrets of events that led to his accident as he does not dwell on his scars because to him nothing is negative if one can learn the lessons from a misfortune.

“I don’t regret nothing in my life. Like I said nothing is negative if you can learn from it and see the fortune in the misfortune. Like this taught me gratitude, I live in gratitude. The thing that stand out is my voice, my voice was never like this and that is a constant reminder when I strain my voice and I start to lose my voice because they stuck a tool down my throat because I was breathing through a ventilator when my lungs collapsed”

Kwaku T said through his accident he has set up NGO called Through The Fire Foundation to help make people aware of negligence and find ways to eradicate the menace.

“My accident was somebody’s negligence. Funny enough I started an NGO called Through The Fire Foundation where it is to combat and make people aware of negligence…that’s what I am about now, trying to eradicate some of the negligence…

Kwaku T who was living in South Africa after his appearance on Big Brother Africa, suffered severe injuries as a result of a fire outbreak in his home.
