Musicians, celebrities whose broken heart inspired hit tracks

It is uncommon to hear that people who have been gripped by a devastating heartbreak have successfully wrestled their way back to normality due to the rippling effects of heartbreak on them.

Though very painful, the “deadly” broken heart helped to unearthed hidden talents by inspiring some Ghanaian celebrities and musicians to release hit songs.

Ghanaweb.com is reflecting on how these heartbreaks assisted the once unknown celebs to rise to fame.

And as part of that, we have put together a list of the celebrities and musicians who drew their inspirations from heartbreaks.

1 . Akwaboah

In October 2016, highlife artiste, Akwaboah shared a chronicle of his heart breaks with Mr EL's brunch Pluzz on Pluzz 89.9fm.

The “I do love you” singer admitted he experienced several heartbreaks in his past relationships.

Explaining further, he said, “it’s a very painful experience which one can only feel and understand better when hit by one, I never believed it’s real until it happened to me, I’ve experienced it twice but I managed it very well. There were times I told myself never to think of it but I found myself thinking about it subconsciously," he stated.

He again added that; “the best part of this unfortunate incident is that, it inspired me to write some good songs, I have written a couple of good songs as a result of heartbreaks,” He revealed.

2. Kofi Mole

It’s no secret rapper Kofi Mole has been thanking his ex-girlfriend for breaking up with him.

Speaking on The Gist with MzGee in 2019, the artiste revealed that his hit song ‘Don’t Be Late’ was birthed because of the heartbreak.

According to the ‘Don’t Be Late’ hit-maker, the song, that gained him more popularity than he expected, was recorded within an hour after he walked into the studio to nurse his broken heart.

Although he did not see it before, Kofi Mole said that he believes the breakup has been a blessing in disguise.

“I’ve always been thanking her for it, she made me someone I’ve always dreamt to be,” Mole noted.

3. Bosom P-yung

Song Michy – real lioness,” Shatta Wale's baby mama wrote on Instagram in the year 2019.
