Popular movie producer, Socrates Safo has suggested that sexual movies where actresses and actors reveal their cleavages should be promoted because they revive broken relationships and marriage.

According to him, couples and partners with sour relationships are able to rekindle their relationships after watching movies with erotic scenes.

A section of Ghanaians have kicked against movies being shown on national Television with sexual undertones .

But Socrates Safo said there is nothing wrong with such movies that teach people about ‘bedmatics’ observing that many wives have divorced their husbands and vice-versa due to their inability to satisfy them in bed.

‘Have we not heard that marriages and relationships are collapsing because of lack of sex or romance? So what is wrong if we make movies that teach people about love and how to make their relationships or love life good,’ he queried in an interview with Showbiz monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

The ‘Hot fork’ producer said romance movies which come with many health benefits including calming down nerves cannot be compared to violent movies where people are taught how to use guns.

The Director of Creative Arts suggested that Ghana will be part of the countries that have banned movies that promote violence.

‘Can you compare romance movie to a movie where armed robbers are all over plotting where to rob and how to go about it. If you make a movie that shows how you can trail someone and rob them with a knife or at gunpoint, what are we teaching the young ones? I wish we would be like the countries that are not giving room for gun, bombs or violence of any form,” he said.

Socrates feared that if measures are not put in place to clamp down on violent movies it will plunge the country into an uncontrollable situation.

He opined that violent movie producers need some sort of orientation to change their way of doing things.
