More Musicians Confirm To Rock Ghana Music & Food Festival

Konsule Entertainment is taking Ghana’s most prestigious local and continental restaurants, premium drink suppliers and manufacturers, up market lifestyle brands and combine them all at the Trade Fair site for the Ghana Music and Food Festival. Alongside the aforesaid, the venue will be electrified with fabulous programs of music and entertainment featuring “live” stage performances from almost every genre of Ghanaian music.

This will be hosted by some of the finest MCs both local and international with DJ chill out sessions, a children’s playground, local and international bands, brass band and traditional music from the hinterlands, church choirs, orchestras, dance groups and a club setting for the after party to give attendees an entirely unique festival experience.

This makes the festival a perfect weekend outdoor occasion for friends and family. It promises to be so interesting that each attendee will take home a once in a lifetime memory.

STANDS AT GMFF In order to bring Accra and the International Trade Fair Center to a standstill, organizers of the first ever Ghana Music and Food Festival have considered all age categories and the music genres. Right behind the round pavilion, pure live band hi-life music from the 70s till today will come be brought to live. Hit makers of each decade have been carefully selected to take audience through 30 years of refreshing unadulterated hi-life tunes. Selected to perform at “Ofie” are; Nana Kwame Ampedu, Dr. Paa Bobo, Abrekyiba Kofi Sammy, Obouba J.A. Adofo, A.B. Crentil, George Darko, Nana Tuffour, Jadu Blay Ambuley, Paapa Yankson, Jewel Ackah, C.K. Man, Rex Omar, Nat Brew, Akosua Agyapong, Daddy Lumber, Oheneba Kissi, Kofi B, Kwabena Kwabena, K.K Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, Ben Brako, Amakye Dede, Nana Achampong, Ewura Ama, George Jarah and more!!!

At Ofie, attendees are expected to see a colorful display of pure Ghanaian culture. There will be an exhibition of kente cloths, beads, locally already made dresses, locally made fabrics, footwear, sculptures, carvings, etc. It will also have for sale local Ghanaian foods from well-known bars and restaurants such as Auntie Muni waakye, Heavy Do Fufu, Kenkey Boutique and Blue Gate Tilapia. Stands will be given to interested companies, agents and individuals to sell all kinds of beverages. There will also be on display Ghanaian cultural and history books for sale. Some old and new musicians will intermittently tell audience a bit about their lives and how far they have come. It sure will be very interactive.

HIPLIFE AND REGGAE (NEIGHBORHOOD): Neighborhood will be a place for the young and young at heart. It will be set up in-front of pavilions A and B. Over 20 of the most popular and current Hip-life and Reggae artistes will entertain festival attendees who choose to groove at “The Neighborhood”. R2Bees, D. Cryme, Obrafour, Okyeame Kwame, Reggie Rockstone, Atumpan, Sarkodie, Rough And Smooth, Shasha Marley, Five Five, Asem, Praye, 4x4, Tinny, Castro, Samini, Trigmatic, D’ Black, Mframa, Eazy, Old Soldier, Danso Abbiam plus many more are on the bill! The Neighborhood like all other stands will have an abundance of food and plenty to drink on sale. Food vendors and local and continental restaurants such as Papaye, Frankies, On The Run, McDonalds, Hot Omo Tuo and Tuo Zaafi etc, will surround the ‘Neighborhood’. Beverages of numerous kinds from local manufacturers and suppliers will be widely available.

Stalls you are likely to find here include dealers in hip-hop gears such as Mondo Bazaar, Message Boutique, Awo Boutique, Don Elijah collections and many more to sell belts, caps, chains, T-shirts, sneakers, watches, durags, armbands, footwear etc. We are proud to announce that ‘The Neighborhood’ will be hosted by Abeiku Santana Okay FM and Jeremy of Y-fm and coordinated by Kevin Adisi of Empire Entertainment.

GOSPEL MUSIC (Jerusalem): Say Halleluyah somebody!!! So as not to leave our gospel music lovers; the venue will be designed in such a way that gospel music lovers and their families will have their own space and will be entertained by local gospel artistes of all ages. Gospel songbirds and Choirs to grace the Festival run a gamut of Ohemaa Mercy, Ernest Opoku, Christiana Love, Florence Obinim, Cecilia Marfo, No Tribe, Bernard Blessing, Bernice Ofei, D.S.P Kofi Sarpong, Josh Laryea, Nii Okai, Winneba Youth Choir, Tema Youth Choir, Soul Winners and more!! Did I hear you say AMEN AMEN?

It will be an alcohol free zone. Only soft drinks and or non-alcoholic wine will be allowed in this area. There will be lots of Bible based and religious materials as well as inspirational and motivational books for sale by individuals and companies like; Readwide, Methodist book depot, Challenge Book Shop etc.

There will be intermittent short sermons, inspirational and motivational messages from renowned speakers. Food and drinks will be abundance for sale by individuals and companies alike. Free Bible literature will be available and openly displayed for interested persons to pick. There will also be indoor counseling sessions for interested persons who book in advance.

The climax of activities at the gospel stand will be a modeling session, where selected church choirs and their choir robe designers will model in their various choir robes. First and second runner ups will receive trophies and choir robes whiles the winner receive a trophy, Choir Robes and an amount of money to begin a foundation in the church. It will be a convention and a gospel rock show put together. Mcs for this genre will be Rev. Gabriel Ansah and Pastor Azigiza Jnr. This area will be managed and coordinated by Pastor Josh Laryea.
