Model African Union Summit To Be Launched

On The 27th Of March 2012

A Model African Union Summit is to be held in Accra at the Accra International Conference Center on the 25th of May 2012 and will be formally launched on the 27th of May 2012 at the Wangara Hotel , Labone from 10:00am. The launch is to inform the General Public on how to register to participate and to also appeal to corporate Ghana to support and sponsor this Summit.
The Model African Union Summit will be attended by Youth, Youth Leaders and Student Leaders 18 years and above from all over Africa. In all 250 delegates will be accepted to attend this year’s Model African Union Summit following last year’s impressive event, which today has led to the formation of the Ghana Center for Entrepreneurship, Employment and Innovation to be launched soon.
The Model African Union provides participants or otherwise Delegates the opportunity to role play as Heads of States and Simulate a typical African Union Heads of State Summit. This is a program by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the African Union week long celebration.
Entry to this Conference is free.
To register, please send your CV to modelafricanunionsummit@gmail.com with the Subject as Delegate, to apply as an official, please indicate Official in the Subject area, you should be between over 18 to register for this conference. Student’s below the age of 18 will be considered provided they have a good CV.
It is based on ones detailed CV that one is likely to be accepted for any position, either as a delegate or an official.

Delegates accepted from across Africa, comprising of Youth Leaders in Africa and other Youth engaged in Diplomacy across Africa will be required to debate amongst themselves on the theme:"Boosting Intra-Africa trade through Entrepreneurship", as they represent member states of the African Union which will be allocated upon acceptance to the Summit. There will be a bus tour of some Principal AU Monuments in Accra from 7:00am to 8:00am, followed by the AU Flag raising Ceremony and then the opening session of the Plenary of the Summit which will start at 10:00am and will be opened by some Senior Government Officials, amongst others.
Delegates will now be ushered into group stages for deliberations, an outcome document will eventually be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be submitted to the African Union by Ghana's Mission to the AU.

Delegates who attend will receive a Certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Free Refreshment, Network, tools on Democracy, Research Writing, Tools on Public Speaking and many other exciting offers all for free.
