Miss Malaika delegates pay courtesy call on Hon. Dzifa Gomashie

Ghallywood and theatre lovers are well acquainted with the pretty and talented veteran actress Dzifa Gomashie who made her debut appearance in the homes of her fans somewhere in the mid 1980’s.

She won the hearts of both the old and young due to her pretty face, nice smile and down to earth nature. She was recently appointed as deputy minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts which came as no surprise considering her vast knowledge in culture and creative arts industry.

This year’s Miss Malaika delegates paid a courtesy call on the honorable minister as she celebrated her birthday last month.

The courtesy call was a surprise visit to the minister’s office and expressed her appreciation with tears of joy. The Malaika delegates sang to her a birthday song and also presented a birthday cake.

Hon. Dzifa Gomashie was speechless for their kind gesture and said she will treasure their gift and thoughtfulness forever. She encouraged the delegates to stay focused in the competition and not only strive to win the crown but also think of what they can do to help women in their respective society.

She went on further to say that amongst all beauty pageants in Ghana, Miss Malaika is different and stands out on its own. Hon Dzifa Gomashie is no stranger to the Miss Malaika beauty pageant because for three consecutive years, she sat as a god mother on the cultural nite episode where the delegates represent their various cultural backgrounds.

She relived her time on the cultural nite episode and said “I will be proud to be associated with Miss Malaika anytime”.
