Winner of last year’s edition of Miss Malaika, Miss Leah, has started an educational initiative which seeks to provide reading and learning materials to basic schools and also provide scholarships to needy but brilliant students.

This project is actually one she promised to embark on during her participation in the Miss Malaika contest. Queen Leah will be giving scholarships to not less than 30 selected students for the rest of the academic year, uniforms, books, school bags, and other learning aids.

Her first stop for this project was at Kwabenya M/A basic school on Thursday, 23rd March and she hopes to extend this benignity to as many schools as she could – provided more sponsors come to her aid.

Leah is grateful to Kingdom Books, Akiboat Impressions – and other kind hearted individuals and companies who want their gesture kept on the low. “God bless you for your kind hearts” Miss Leah says cheerfully to her sponsors thus far and hopes to get more on board for this project.
