Miss Malaika 2015 unveil the ladies

The night was more than glamorous to say the least. Dressed in elegant African prints, the 16 ladies vying to become the new Miss Malaika were officially outdoored with pomp and pageantry on Sunday, 6 September 2015.

Held at the classy Crown Apartamento Hotel, Accra, this is the journey for these 16 beautiful ladies and at the end of it all, sometime in November, a new Miss Malaika will be unveiled. The journey to the top is always nothing short of fun and excitement.

Starting with over 300 beautiful girls, they were reduced to 40, then to 20 and now 16.

Since its inception in 2003, the Miss Malaika Ghana pageant has produced queens who have touched hearts with their projects and their personalities. From the first queen Thelma Tawiah to the reigning queen Eirene Binabiba, the Miss Malaika pageant has shown that real beauty is from within.

The 16 are profiled as follows: Jedidah Ama Biney, 20, student; Dionne Addofoly, 19, student, Lancaster University College; Kuukua Korsah, 22, university graduate, KNUST; Gifty Akweley Amarteifio, 20, student, Ho Nurses Training; KumangLugu-Zuri; 19, student, Central University College; and Suraya Kariyama Mohammed, 21, student, University of Ghana; Kezia Acquah, 20, graduate, Kumasi Academy; and Mamatah Abdul – Rahmaan, 21, student, University of Professional Studies.

The rest include Karen Cofie, 21, student, Central University College; Doreen Essilfie, 22, student, University of Ghana; Beverly Efya Aidoo, 22, student, Wisconsin International University; Suweida Alhassan, 18, student, Central University College; Nana Antwiwaa Nuamah, 21, student, KNUST; Selinam Kwadzodza, 21, student, Central University College; Martha Daniels, 18, student of Abbeam University College; and Dorothy Osei, 20, senior high school graduate, Labone Senior High School.
