Miss Buy Ghana 2013 in motion

Miss Buy Ghana 2013 is still in motion and the theme for this year is “Revamping our local industries” and the slogan is “BUY-GHANA-PROMOTE-GHANA”

The pageant is designed to be an annual event and unlike other pageantries where contestants are voted for to win the crown, Miss Buy Ghana contestants get their votes through the buying of made in Ghana goods and services at designated exhibition grounds.

The exhibition grounds will be where the public buy items; made in Ghana products to support a contestant to win the crown of Miss Buy Ghana. Coupons will be given to the buyers to fill and submitted at the exhibition ground. The amount of sales made in the name of a contestant will be then converted into votes.

The first exhibition in Kumasi was successful.

The concept, BUY TO SUPPORT was embraced by most people who were around at the exhibition ground in Kumasi at KNUST campus.

Buyers were quick to pick their coupons to tick whom they want to support and exhibitor also encouraged buyers to use their coupons to vote.

Kick-To-Promote Made in Ghana could not take place in Kumasi but took place in Tamale and this is historical. Participating schools were enthusiastic and gave their best to support the concept.

The train will be in Accra on the 12th to 15th of December at the Holy gardens (Kwame Nkrumah Circle).

The final show is on the 29th of Dec. 2013 at the banquet hall state house and it is strictly by invitation.
