Ghanaian musician, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, known in showbiz as Becca, has said that she is not worried about the recent statement from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) discrediting Menzgold, a gold dealership company she has advertised products for.

Becca, who recently launched her new album titled ‘Unveiling’, is one of the celebrities – from a list including the likes of Stonebwoy, Okyeame Kwame, Joselin Dumas and Jackie Appiah – who have been promoting Menzgold’s precious metal business.

CEO of Menzgold Ghana, Nana Appiah Mensah, also doubles as CEO and owner of Zylofon Media; a creative arts and entertainment conglomerate whose record label has signed Becca.

On Tuesday August 8, 2017, a Deputy Governor of the Bank, Dr Johnson Asiamah, appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament, cautioned the general public not to deposit any money with the company because it has not been licensed to do so adding, Ghanaians who defy this caution do that at their own risk.

However, Becca maintains that her relationship with Menzgold does not affect her career as her record label, Zylofon, is a solid brand.

Answering a question from a listener of Entertainment Capital on Accra FM on Saturday, August 19, on whether the comments by the BoG has caused her to have any doubts, she revealed on the weekend programme that: “I never had one single doubt about anything because I’m with Zylofon music. Yes, we are associated with Menzgold and as people see, everything is moving on smoothly and there is nothing that has changed and I don’t think anything is going to change.”

For her, Zylofon is making strides in the entertainment industry and will grow to make a positive impact in Ghana and beyond.
