Ghanaian comedian, DKB, has stirred conversation on social media following his comments about gender roles and financial responsibility in relationships.
Speaking in a discussion on Hitz FM on March 31, 2026, DKB argued that men should not be financially dependent on women, insisting that such situations reverse traditional roles.
“Women are not supposed to be the ones financing. Which man would want to allow a woman to take care of him?” he asked.

He continued, “If you’re a man and a woman is taking care of you, you shut up. You clean the house, wash clothes, and put food in order because you’re playing the wife’s role.”
He further stated that men are expected to provide financially in relationships, adding that this aligns with what he described as a common mindset among women.
“You have to give a woman money because women’s philosophy is your money is your money is our money and my money is my money,” he added.
