Meiway Criss-crosses Ghana With Zoblazo

Ghanaian music lovers, who have been waiting for an encore from Meiway, will have their wish fulfilled tonight as the Ivorian superstar performs at the Kumasi Stadium in the first gig of a three-phased programme across Ghana. Meiway, who has become a household name in showbiz in both Francophone and Anglophone Africa, will also treat fans at Takoradi tomorrow and later in Accra his ever-popular Zoblazo rhythms. Born Frederic Ehui at Grand Bassam in Ivory Coast to Nzema parents, Meiway's music is noted for its danceable, fast paced tempo. His latest album, Eternal which is the seventh in the Zoblazo vein, carries a message of love, togetherness and reconciliation for his country, which has just passed through a nightmarish period of civil war.

ILC and the Best of Best Records who are packaging the Meiway tour, have assembled backup artistes that include Mijamo, a Ghanaian -Ivorian who will be featuring with the Octopus International Band, Sony Achiba, Sidmey, Tic Tac, Slim Buster, Nana Adjoah and Korkorveli.
