Television and film producer Tonisha Tagoe who describes herself as a highly motivated, genuinely reliable and exceptionally hardworking individual was born in Ghana in 1985.
She is a product of Greenwich School of Management and London Film School, where she studied Youth & Community Studies and Introduction to Film and Television Production, Cinematography and Film/Video production respectively.
In September 2012, she took part in the Miss West Africa United Kingdom pageant, where she placed first runner up.
Her journey as a producer started at Carib Productions where she was a sound assistant. She’s moved on to become the production manager of BFM Media and also the Olympic fleet manager during the London 2012 Olympics.
She is currently on an African business documentary and has chosen Ghana as the first step in the series. “This is exciting for Ghana,” she says.
“I am working with ABN TV and VOX Africa in the UK,” she adds.
She set up her own company U Media Films in January 2011, which produced the viral video for Fuse ODG’s Azonto, featuring Tiffany.
They also worked on TEDx Brixton 2013, and Micheal Essien’s Game of Hope 2013 amongst other high profile events.
Miss Tagoe has an audience of 14 million viewers and counting through her company’s YouTube channel. She’s worked with and interviewed personalities in the entertainment industry in the UK and Africa.
Miss Tagoe speaks English and Ga, and currently resides in London.
