Popular actress Emelia Brobbey has dispelled claims that she got into acting through Nana Ama McBrown.

“I don’t know where this is coming from. I have heard many people make claims to the effect that McBrown thought me how to act. It is absolutely false. You know people talk. They don’t know the truth but talk on their own imagination”, she told Naa Klordey on the Ultimate Brunch.

According to the Kumawood star, she got into acting through one Daniel Adeleye.

“When Bob Santo died, they came to Akyem Swedru my hometown and I approached him. He directed me to come to Kumasi and meet Miracle Films at the cultural centre and to God be the Glory I am here”, she said.

In pursuit of her passion to act, she said she had to travel to all the way from the Eastern Region to Kumasi to meet Miracle Films which has transformed her life today.

The screen goddess said even though MacBrown was around, she was skeptical about how she will receive her and decided to approach Adeleye because she was of the view men are easily approachable through whose efforts she shot to the limelight.

She encouraged up and coming actresses and actors to follow their passion indicating that the industry is fraught with numerous challenges.

“There have been ups and downs in my career especially when the media get on my nerves. You make us and unmake us. When we do good, you praise us when we do bad you whip us”, she disclosed.

Her career she concluded has gone her closer to God and given her access to a lot of bigger opportunities.
