Sammy Flex, a media personality and member of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale’s camp, has taken a swipe at musician Stonebwoy following his recent remarks during the 2026 World Cup fundraising launch.
It will be recalled that Stonebwoy, during the event, delivered a cryptic message suggesting that his rivalry with Shatta Wale may not end anytime soon.
Drawing a comparison with popular local football clubs Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, Stonebwoy explained that just as the two teams can never truly unite due to what he described as “healthy competition,” the same applies to his feud with Shatta Wale.
'Kotoko and Hearts can never be one' - Stonebwoy drops cryptic message
Following the statement, which has attracted widespread criticism online, Sammy Flex, in a video sighted by GhanaWeb on March 21, 2026, also criticised the musician.
According to Sammy Flex, Stonebwoy’s remarks and conduct during the event reflect a lack of maturity.
“I now understand why in some rooms Shatta will be called, and he is not called, because he is not mature enough. Maturity is not about the number of degrees you have; it is about understanding your environment and comporting yourself in a way that does not offend or hurt others.
“Shatta understood the assignment. He appeared as a mature individual, organised and composed, knowing that the President was present, so it was not the place for unnecessary remarks. All those shades were not needed,” he said.
Sammy Flex further stressed that maturity should not be judged based on appearance.
Stonebwoy's 'Kotoko and Hearts' statement uncalled for – Assembly member
“The speech Stonebwoy delivered sounded more like an awards ceremony speech than one for a presidential fundraiser. He overdid it. Maturity is not in a suit and tie.
“Some people may dress formally but behave informally, while others may dress casually yet carry themselves with great decorum,” he added.

Not hesitating, Stonebwoy was acting so childishly yesterday at the event. All the subliminal messages and the jabs he was throwing weren't needed in his speech. I support @sambahflex on this editorial. pic.twitter.com/siblT8k55s
