Man arrested for murder

Ho, July 28, GNA - Lord Komla, a 39-year-old farmer of Adaklu-Kpatovoe, near Ho, was last Saturday arrested by the Police for allegedly murdering a 40-year-old fish seller, Madam Ami Kettey. Mr Nicholas Blewushie, Ho District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency on Monday that Madam Kettey left home on July 17 but failed to return until a search party found the body buried in a shallow grave on July 26.

He said the search party found the body about 50 metres from the suspect's farm shelter, a distance of about two kilometres from Adaklu-Kpatovoe. Mr Blewushie said another grave was also discovered close to the first one that the Police suspected contained the severed body of the deceased or the body of another person. He said remnants of fried fish were found in the suspect's room during a search. The Police are preparing documents for a Coroner to enable them to exhume the body for autopsy while investigation continues.
