MUSIGA is silently working hard - Okyeame Kwame

Contrary to views by some entertainment enthusiasts that little has been heard of the activities of the union unlike when the new administration was newly inducted.

The MUSIGA P.R.O, Okyeame Kwame said it’s so because when they started working, they needed to create awareness, but now they don’t need to be blowing their trumpet by going on radio and TV stations to broadcast what they have done, which is not synonymous with the fact, that they are not working.

Outlining some of the projects being embarked on by the union, he said a newly designed program will start running on TV with the aim of changing the perception of who a musician is.

He also opened up that they were getting specialists to help them research to find out more about the gross domestic product contribution of Ghanaian musicians to the nation’s economy and also help them position musicians properly so people can begin to see them as professionals.

‘We are really working hard and doing lots of things, we just finished a nationwide tour on branding and stage performance about musicians and what musicians needs to know’, he concluded.
