MTN donates towards Oguaa Fetu Afahye

Cape Coast, Aug 28, GNA - Management of Scancom Limited, operators of MTN Mobile Phone Service, on Thursday donated items worth GH¢16,000 to the chiefs and people of Oguaa Traditional Area towards the celebration of Fetu Afahye.

The items include a fully connected fixed wireless application phone (FWAP) valued at GH¢ 350, three fully connected mobile phones worth GH¢150, assorted MTN- branded souvenirs worth over GH¢1000 and GH¢1,000.

This year's festival, which is focusing on creating public awareness about HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, is slated to take off with a 'health and sanitation day' on August 30. Other activities are a regatta, sports, 'Fanti' food fair and a grand durbar on September 6. Making the presentation the Manager of Events Direct & Marketing Division of the company, Mr. Frank Kofi Ayivor, said the donation formed part of the company's social responsibility to the society and traditional leaders.

Nana Kwame Nyimfa IX, Adontenhene of the traditional area who received the items, thanked the company. 2
