MTN Hitmaker buzzes Facebook and Twitter

MTN’s pages on Facebook and Twitter were buzzing with comments after the company’s reality show, Hitmaker, showed the first of 13 episodes on Sunday on five television stations – Metro TV, GTV, Multi TV, UTV and GHOne – across the country.

With over 12,000 followers on Twitter and 137,000 likes on Facebook, it came as no surprise that the first episode created so much excitement on the platforms.

Some of the fans of the show who couldn’t hold the excitement for the hour long first episode (which was a collection of some of the funny bits during audition), went onto the social media platforms to show how they enjoyed the auditions.

On Facebook, Scientific Back Axle said: “This audition is wow; can’t stop laughing ooo. Yung Jeniral added “can’t wait to be a guest judge.

Emmanuel Ankra Kuttin said: “MTN moves the world” with Warren Norris laughing “Hahahahaha; very funny. Some dudes really got to check themselves very well before coming to editions.lol.”

Fati Yusif opted to go conversational saying, “did you guys watched the audition when the Rasta guy was told that his voice was smoky and he replied and said yes I started smoking at 13 but stopped four months ago. That’s funny.”

On Twitter, ?@ItsNOTCobb who might have been having a bad day noted that “I've something to laugh at #MTNHitMaker" with Ellen Barnor ?@Ellen_Bills#mtnhitmaker saying “got me cracking my ribs....I just can’t stop laughing." Miss Ella ?@sweet_ellagh@MTNGhana said “now watching #mtnhitmaker on #GhOne and enjoying every moment" and Nii Larteyson ?@am_cobbyshy pointed out how Prisoners got him laughing.

Farmhouse Production Chief Executive, Ivan Quarshigah noted that the comments on the two social media platforms showed how nice the first episode was.

He added that this season is actually full of surprises and fans should wait for more excitements.

“These comments are an indication of how people are enjoying the show. We still have two more episodes of funny bits from the auditions before the contestants begin performances,” he revealed.
