Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency, Hon Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr, has reached out to legendary actor Asonaba Kweku Darko, popularly known as Super OD.
The MP, touched by the unfortunate state of health of the former Osafo Dadzie actor after it was aired on TV, donated an electric wheelchair to the 82-year-old actor whose knees have grown weaker and is unable to walk, to facilitate easy movement at his Agona Swedru resident.
In addition, an amount of GH¢1,000 was presented to the family to support his upkeep.
Other items presented to the aged actor include a bag of rice, a carton of oil, crates of eggs, a carton of Milk, boxes of Lipton tea bags, one bucket of Yazz washing powder, toilet rolls and 10 loaves of bread.
Super OD was thankful to the MP for her benevolent gesture.
Super OD, who had a blissful acting career spanning from the 1970s to the 90s, was very popular for his roles in local Ghanaian series, Akan Drama on GTV.
Acting with the Oppong Drama Group which later became known as Osofo Dadzie Group, Super OD gained nationwide popularity for his impeccable acting and rib-cracking jokes.
