MK Casting scouts for next ‘Abraham Attah’ in Northern Region for ‘The Hero’ Film

Mawuko Kuadzi, the C.E.O of MK Casting and the manager of Abraham Attah, Fred Amugi, Emmanuel Adom (Strika) are currently in the Northern part of Ghana scouting for characters for a new film titled ‘The Hero’.

The film is set to be directed by US based Ghanaian director and Actress Barbara Anakwa and to be produced by Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin’s Messiah Entertainment and Chrisloe Entertainment in the United State.

The film is a social problem film (Social Intervention) written to a lift the veil from some hidden plight. It is suppose to reveal an injustice to a minority, the courageous story of change brought by a young man from the Northern Region of Ghana, and her mentally ill guardian.

It is expected to raise awareness on less talked about but relevant issues like Mental illness, Issues of witches’ camps in Ghana, Street children and Girl Child education.

Mawuko Kuadzi who worked on Netflix’s original film Beasts of No Nation as an Associate Casting Director is yet to discover another talent from the Northern part of Ghana who could possibly be the “Next Abraham Attah”.

Fred Amugi and Paulina Oduro are already attached to this film and some casting will be done in Accra. The film is hoped to be released before 10th October 2017 ahead of the World Health Mental Day.
