M.anifest, Kwame Yeboah & Ohia B3y3 Ya Band Shoot For BBC's 'African Beats' Series

Award-winning rapper, M.anifest earlier this week filmed some musical pieces together with GMW Instrumentalist Honour Winner, Kwame Yeboah and his Ohia B3y3 Ya band for an up-coming series of ‘African Beats’ to screen on BBC.

M.anifest, Sarkodie, D-Black, Edem, Stonebwoy just to mention a few are really doing well with international collaborations and appearances hence the very reason why their brands are flying so high in many countries.

Kwame Yeboah revealed to hypegh.com that BBC focuses on artistes who originally compose their music and write their lyrics. "We are conscious about where we come from, where we are going and our influence in the world. We hope our audiences in Africa and elsewhere in the world will love what we do”, he added.

Commenting on the band's appearance on Africa Beats, Kwame says: “I can't wait for the world to find out about how I have strived to blend my influences of African traditional music with western music."

BBC World Service screens Africa Beats - a series of multimedia programmes showcasing Africa’s new musical talent. Each edition of the eight-part weekly series, available on radio, TV and online, introduces to the BBC’s global audiences singers/songwriters from Africa.

The programme draws on the rich musical traditions of the DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, among others.
