Lunatic stuns church congregation

Drobo (B/A) May 17, GNA - A lunatic, popularly called "Crazy" caused a stir among the large congregation at the third parish congress of the Kwasibuokrom Catholic Parish when he actively participated in all activities during the congress.

He helped to convey furniture, canopies and other materials to the congress grounds and back.

"Crazy" also attended mass service and sat amongst the invited guests and chairpersons and attempted to copy their actions. Mr. Charles Mariwa, an executive member of the local charismatic renewal group said the lunatic's active involvement in the fund-raising segment of the congress inadvertently caused a windfall.

Another member of the church said "Crazy" was later seen donating monies given to him by sympathizers as alms to some children.

They church members became more flabbergasted when at the end of the congress, Crazy bought an Omo detergent and gave it to the executives to use it to wash the cloth covering the altar.

Mr. Michael Kofi Amponsah, Parish head of the church's charismatic renewal Group confirmed in an interview with Ghana News Agency that members of the congress were stunned by Crazy's presence and active involvement in the four-day programme.
