Kwadwo Nkansah, known in showbiz circles as "Lil Win" has been honoured at the maiden edition of the National Private School Awards.

The awards ceremony, held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi was under theme “Rewarding excellence in Private Basic School".

Various personalities and institutions were celebrated on the night for their diverse contributions to the growth of education over the years.

Kumawood actor and Director of Great Minds International School, "Lil Win" was the proud recipient of the prestigious Most Promising Proprietor Of The Year.

"Lil Win" received the honorary award for his outstanding service for the country as well as his remarkable innovation, tireless efforts towards the education sector.

According to Mr. Enoch Kwasi Gyetuah, National Executive Director of Ghana National Council of Private School, the awards scheme remained a significant step in recognizing private individuals, who play a major role in promoting education in Ghana.

“It is an honour to celebrate with Educational Personalities at the forefront of promoting educational body and lifting the veil on individuals in Basic Education, who have contributed immensely to the Education sector”.

He added, “We cannot underestimate the role of education and its importance to national development".

Mr. Micheal Mensah, Director for Manner International School, was adjudged the National Best Proprietor of the Year while National Best Private School of the Year went to Potters International School.
