Veteran Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Samini has taken to social media to urge colleague artistes and fans against allowing external forces affect their progress in the music industry.
The 'Linda' hitmaker, who rose to fame at age 21 and is now 44, took to X on March 13, 2026, and expressed gratitude to fans who have stood by him through the years, while delivering a pointed piece of life advice that has since resonated widely online.
"I became a star at 21 and I'm still thriving at 44 and counting. All I can say is thank you to those who believed," he wrote.
The artiste used the moment to pass on advice about guarding one's energy in the turbulent music industry.
"The more mature you get, the quieter you become… Let nothing that adds zero to your value drain part of you because you paid attention," he wrote.

Samini closed the post by reaffirming his bond with his loyal fanbase.

Samini, born Emmanuel Andrews Samini on June 22, 1981, in Accra, Ghana, is one of Africa's most celebrated reggae-dancehall artists, widely regarded as a pioneer of the genre on the continent.
He burst onto the scene in the early 2000s and became a household name with the smash hit "Linda," which catapulted him to fame across Ghana and beyond while still in his early twenties.
Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has released multiple acclaimed albums, collaborated with top African and international artistes, and earned numerous awards including multiple Ghana Music Awards.
