American and Ghanaian filmmaker, Leila Djansi has a better overview of what feminism is all about than what people presume.

According to her, feminism is about creating women who support themselves and support partners through hard times in relationships; that is sharing equally in the making of home.

She made this assertion via a Facebook post.

She added that being a feminist teaches one not to rely solely on their husband or boyfriend for financial support.

According to her, a woman can pay for meal on a date, buy her partner a car or house as gift.

She opined that whoever earns more should shoulder the bigger financial responsibility and doing that should not come with control.
