Ghanaian Hip-life artiste, Emmanuel Botchwey (Kwaw Kese) popularly referred to as Abodam, has questioned the currently ongoing beef between his fellow musicians, Shatta Wale and Samini, insisting that the duo’s beef ended several years ago.

Kwaw Kese, who made his maiden appearance on the most watched satirical talk show in Ghana, Tonight with Nii Kpakpo Thompson on Viasat1 last Friday, humorously argued that he believes it is the season of beefs for Hip hop artistes, calling on the Dancehall artistes to allow them the space to also trend.

Speaking to the host of the Tonight Show, Nii Kpakpo Thompson, the former Artiste of the Year maintained that the renewed beef between Samini and Shatta Wale is simply a strategy to make more money. “What I have realised is that when there is beef, these ‘beef eaters’ make money.

Recently, Sarkodie and M.anifest had these beef going on. Samini and Shatta ended their beef long time, then after Sarkodie and M.anifest are trending, then my brothers are coming back again. Why? The events don’t come anymore? My brothers should stop the beef, Dancehall beef has ended now.

It came back to Hip hop beef. They should give we the Hip hop artistes the chance,” Kwaw Kese argued. Meanwhile, Kwaw Kese has also hinted of an upcoming album. It's been years since the rapper released an album, but he has confirmed a 20-track album will be released very soon.

Also on the show last Friday was young musician Feli Nuna and beautiful writer and singer, Michelle Mckinney Hammond, who awed viewers when she took to the stage to exhibit her rap skills. McKinney revealed a few shocking details about some of the challenges she encountered in her life, especially when she was bedridden for over a year, which ultimately became a springboard for her writing career.

Catch a repeat broadcast of Tonight with Nii Kpakpo Thompson this Tuesday at 11am and watch the main show every Friday at 9pm on Viasat1.
