Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has refused to acknowledge her former manager Ernest Kwesi Anim for her leap to stardom in the gospel profession.

She said the renowned gospel artistes’ manager though has been supportive to her in respect of advise yet she has risen to the high pedestal through her own hard work.

The ‘Unbreakable’ hit maker on ‘The Delay Show’ said she was never picked from the gutters as it has been perceived by many.

According to her, she lived a normal and satisfactory life before she met her former producer, Kwesi Ernest.

“Even though I was in a single room, I wasn’t picked from the gutter as assumed by many, I had my talent which made me somebody before Kwesi Ernest came in to help. Do you think he would have wanted to help if he saw nothing good in me?” she quizzed.

However, when she was asked whether credits should go to Kwesi Ernest for making her who she is today, Joyce Blessing said, “We all struggled to make this possible so I don’t see why he should take all the credits, I have always given him a credit though.”

“How can he even feel he has worked in vain? Did he work alone? I also worked hard to become who I am now,” Joyce Blessing added. She shared how she had to pick public transport from Tema to Accra for interviews without the help of any producer or management.

Joyce Blessing signed a four-year deal with Zylofon media, a creative arts and entertainment conglomerate on June 28, 2017.
