Kwesi Arthur doubles his performance fee after BET nomination – Event Organiser in shock

Kwesi Arthur Kwesi Arthur

Tema-based rapper Kwesi Arthur within a blink has become the most talked about Ghanaian artiste following his 2018 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards nomination.

Despite the fact that the rapper lost his category (Viewers Choice) to South African SJava, Kwesi remains Ghana’s favourite young rapper. Now, prior to Kwesi Arthur’s BET feat, he used to take GH¢15,000 from event organisers to mount their platforms.

However, the story is entirely different after his BET nomination according to Takoradi-based Sadick Assah who happens to be an event promoter and organiser.

Speaking on Zylofon FM, Sadick is reported to have said that he contacted the rapper for a show which he was asked to pay GH¢15,000 but the cash doubled after the Tema-based musician had the BET nomination.

According to him, Kwesi pegging his charges around GH¢30,000 within a twinkle of an eye was a wrong move since artists also need concerts to get closer to their fans.

The event organiser further advised the young ones who are making waves, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise and the others to be considerate when charging for shows because they will not reign forever.
