Kumawood's Mercy Asiedu returns to the screen

After long break from acting, veteran Ghanaian movie star Mercy Asiedu, has finally returned to the screen even though her reasons for staying out of acting was not known.

At this time, she is featured in a comic movie, ‘TV Atikopo’ with Ghana’s most favorite actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Tracy Boakye, among others.

The ‘Drop that yam’ originator has of late faced public lashes concerning accusations that she has among other stars collected money from the ruling NDC government, assuring them of campaigning for President Mahama, the leader of the party come November 2016 elections.

She has since from the time of the allegations denied collecting any money and was even in the news to have threatened to curse anyone who would be heard on that accusations.
