Ghanaian musicians for the past years have been making the country proud on international platforms when nominated for awards.

The Black Entertainment Awards has rewarded Sarkodie and Stonebwoy as best African Acts on the continent in the past years. Aside the two top musicians, other acts like D-Black and MzVee have had nominations for the prestigious award.

Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene wishes to also earn a nomination and win at the awards established in 2001. Speaking on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show, the ‘Confusion’ hitmaker vowed to bring home a BET award in 2021.

He then pleaded with Ghanaians to support his brand to aid in winning the award in three years time.

The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on BET. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by artists, and some of the awards of more popular interest are presented in a televised ceremony.
