Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has shared a moment when he received a suspected fraudulent call from an individual claiming that money had been mistakenly sent to his mobile money account.
In a video circulating online, the caller pleaded with the musician to forgive him, explaining that he had reported the issue to the mobile money office because he initially feared Kuami Eugene was not a genuine person after failing to reach him.

The caller claimed that after investigations, the office confirmed the mistake was not from Kuami Eugene’s end and advised him to contact them again with his merchant number to help unblock the musician’s number.
However, Kuami Eugene refused to take steps to unblock his account, insisting that the money should be refunded directly by the mobile money office since they were the ones who blocked his number.
“Since they have blocked me, they should refund your money. They can give it to you, right? So they should,” he said.
When the caller asked the musician to visit the office to have his number unblocked before sending the money, Kuami Eugene declined, saying he preferred to leave it blocked because he did not have the time.
The caller later resorted to insulting the musician after his attempt to convince him to release the money failed.
