'Kiss Me If You Can' Premieres On Easter Saturday

The new controversial movie, ‘Kiss Me If You Can’, is expected to wow Accra this Easter Saturday April 3, as it premieres this weekend.

The premiere comes off at the National Theatre in Accra from 6pm and it is not only expected to be a bang, but a fusion of music and movie screening just to give fans what monies’ worth. What that means is that, besides the movie, there will be some exciting musical performances from a section of the crème de la crème of Ghanaian musicians.

They include Lady Prempeh, Echo, Nii, D Flex, Mike (Mentor 4), D Cryme, Ephraim, Slim Busterr, Reggie Zippy, Black Suede, Rana and Salsa Ghana. There will also be comedy by David Oscar. Tickets for the grand event are currently available at Accra Mall (Fotostore/Y fm), Legon Campus (Basement Pub) and Villa Gardens (Asylum down).

The movie, rated 18, is touted as pornographic but it didn’t appear that so after the press was granted a first-hand view a week ago. However, it was praised for the high standard it has set. The movie has a lot of surprises and one of such is the casting. It used faces which cannot be described as a first-class faces of the local movie scene.

Prince David Osei, Martha Ankomah, Eddie Nartey and musician Kobi of Ranna fame are just a few of such faces. Famous Atitsogbe, producer of Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana morning show and Ruweida Yakubu of Ghana’s Most Beautiful fame are some of the surprise faces in the movie.

It tells the story of Ray (Prince David Osei) and Sharon (Martha Ankomah) who are both victims of broken-heart and have vowed never to fall in love again. But as human as they are, the two had to struggle with their own promises. Ray however falls in love with Sharon and goes through fire and water in a fruitless attempt to win her heart.

Subsequently, in what appears to be the hottest gender battle ever, a grave mistake is made and somebody must die. That set the stage for an unforgettable quest for survival.
